About us
Leader Fence: Three generations strong, blending legacy craftsmanship with modern expertise. Locally-owned in Central New York, we deliver prompt, reliable fencing solutions, ensuring enduring satisfaction and security for our community.
We take pride in completing three major housing projects at Fort Drum, totaling over 500 homes, as well as installing two miles of fence for a tank maintenance facility in New York State. All projects were completed in compliance with the military's stringent deadlines, inspections, and safety standards, for which we are proud and grateful. We’ve installed fences as far as Rochester, Ithaca, Fabius Pompey, Watertown, For Drum, Fayetteville, Manlius, All over the CNY area.
After installing a fence, we love to see our customers' dogs able to run off the leash for the first time, or to know their family is safe and enjoying privacy.

In 1975, Edward Leader laid the foundation for Leader Fence in Central New York, working tirelessly alongside his sons, Thomas and Scott. By 1999, his wife Teresa assumed primary ownership, while their children Thomas and Coleen took charge of daily operations. In 2001, Nathaniel, Thomas's son, opted to become a full-time foreman, abandoning his studies at Syracuse University to uphold the family legacy. Despite excelling academically, Nathaniel chose to honor his roots and continue the family tradition. In 2024, Nathaniel assumed sole ownership of the company. Coleen revealed to him that this transition fulfilled a long-cherished dream of Edward's, a realization that caught Nathaniel by surprise. Unbeknownst to him, he was not only taking the reins of the business but also carrying forward the cherished legacy of his grandfather, a realization that filled him with a profound sense of pride and responsibility.
